​My name is Micah Washington, and I have been professionally editing video since 2013. I was first introduced to video editing during my freshman year of high school. At the time, I was deeply interested in video games and entered a contest to create a montage featuring titles showcased at E3 2005, with the chance to win an Xbox 360. While I didn’t win the prize, the experience sparked a passion for editing that ultimately became my career.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to create engaging and impactful content for a wide range of brands and organizations. I continually push my creative boundaries by focusing not only on assembling clips, but also on incorporating sound design, motion graphics, pacing, and storytelling to elevate each project. With social media playing a central role in how businesses and individuals promote products and services, I stay up to date on platform trends, formats, and audience behavior to ensure content is both relevant and effective. I have also begun integrating AI-driven tools such as ElevenLabs into my workflow to streamline processes, enhance creative development, and improve efficiency while maintaining a high standard of quality.

While editing remains the most fulfilling aspect of my work, I believe growth comes from understanding all facets of the field. Since 2019, I have been expanding my skills in videography, developing a stronger appreciation for lighting, composition, depth, and performance. I enjoy the challenge of crafting a shot from concept to execution and continuously learning new techniques. I believe in pushing myself to try new things, expand my skill set, and stay passionate about what I do and I wouldn’t trade this career for anything.
